Definitions of the various axis systems used on the blade. Any coordinate system which is omitted will be assumed to be the same as the reference one. This means that any of the coordinate systems could be used as the reference if wished.

Properties

ReferenceCoordinateSystem: object(BladeSectionReferenceCoordinateSystem)

The main 2D axis system of the section, from which all other axis systems are derived. Any coordinate system which is omitted will be assumed to be the same as the reference one. This means that any of the coordinate systems could be used as the reference if wished.

NeutralAxisCoordinateSystem: object(BladeSectionNeutralAxisCoordinateSystem), optional

This axes system defines the neutral bending axes relative to the reference axes. The origin is the point where the bending stresses are zero under either bending loads. If omitted, the reference axes will be used as the neutral axes.

QuarterChordCoordinateSystem: object(BladeSectionQuarterChordCoordinateSystem), optional

This axes system positions the aerofoil relative to the reference axes. The origin is at the quarter-chord position, a quarter of the way from the leading edge to the trailing edge along the chordline. The X-axis of the system is parallel to the chordline, and the Y-axis perpendicular to it. If omitted, the reference axes will be used as the quarter-chord axes.

MassCoordinateSystem: object(BladeSectionMassCoordinateSystem), optional

This axes system in which the mass properties are defined. The origin is the centre of gravity of the section. If omitted, the reference axes will be used as the mass axes.

ShearAxis: object(BladeSectionShearAxis), optional

This axes system defines the location of the shear centre relative to the reference axes. The origin is the point where if a load were applied there would be no moment applied to the beam. If omitted, the shear axes will not be used in the analyses.

OutputCoordinateSystem: object(BladeSectionOutputCoordinateSystem), optional

This axes system in which outputs will be produced. This allows the output of loads in a different axis system to any of the physical properties. If omitted, the reference axes will be used as the mass axes.
