ModalStructuralModelling

https://bladednextgen.dnv.com/schema/0.4.1/Components/StructuralModelling/ModalStructuralModelling.json

The properties for the structural modelling using modal reduction.

  • StructuralModellingType: string = ModalStructuralModelling
  • MaximumNodeSpacing: number (m)
  • GeometricStiffnessModel: string = AxialLoadsOnly | InternalLoadsOnly | Disabled
  • StructuralModes: array[object (StructuralMode)]

A type of StructuralModelling

Properties

MaximumNodeSpacing: number (m), optional

The maximum node spacing allowed on the component. If any two nodes are further spaced apart than this, an additional node or nodes will be added inbetween them. If omite, no additional nodes will be added.

GeometricStiffnessModel: string, optional

The geometric stiffness model to use for the support structure

default = AxialLoadsOnly

StructuralModellingType: string

Defines the specific type of StructuralModelling model in use. For a ModalStructuralModelling object, this must always be set to a value of ModalStructuralModelling.

StructuralModes: array[ object (StructuralMode) ]

List of included modes and their associated damping ratios. The presence of any of these objects in the StructuralModes list indicates that the mode should be calculated, even if it does not include a DampingRatio. If no modes are provided, the structure will be considered rigid. Users can add any metadata alongside the DampingRatio, such as _Name or _Mode. Bladed will disregard any metadata as long as it is prefixed with an underscore.
