PresetCurrentDirectionShearTransient coming soon

https://bladednextgen.dnv.com/schema/0.4.1/TimeDomainSimulation/Environment/SeaState/Current/CurrentDirectionShearVariation/PresetCurrentDirectionShearTransient.json

Not supported yet

A preset transient in the vertical direction shear. This is a linear relationship between the height and the local direction, with the direction being its nominal value at the reference height.

  • DirectionShearVariationType: string = PresetTransient
  • DirectionShearAtStart: number (rad/m)
  • AmplitudeOfVariation: number (rad/m)

A type of DirectionShearVariation

Properties

DirectionShearVariationType: stringcoming soon

Defines the specific type of DirectionShearVariation model in use. For a PresetTransient object, this must always be set to a value of PresetTransient.

DirectionShearAtStart: number (rad/m)coming soon

The vertical direction shear at the start of the simulation up to the beginning of the transient. For a full cycle this will also be the value after the transient has completed.

AmplitudeOfVariation: number (rad/m)coming soon

The maximum amplitude of the variation.

StartTime: number (s)coming soon

The time into the simulation at which to start the transient (excluding the lead-in time).

DurationOfVariation: number (s)coming soon

The time taken to complete the transient, whether half-cycle or full-cycle.

VariationShape: stringcoming soon

The shape of the transient. This can either be a half-cycle (where the shear remains at the initial value plus the amplitude after the transient has been completed) or a full-cycle (where the shear returns to its original value).
