The structural properties of the blade section. These are all oriented in the NeutralAxesCoordinateSystem, but the ShearAxis is used to interpret the shear and torsion stiffnesses and cross-coupling terms.

Properties

BendingStiffnessAboutX: number (Nm/rad)

The bending stiffness at the section about the neutral axis system's x axis.

BendingStiffnessAboutY: number (Nm/rad)

The bending stiffness at the section about the neutral axis system's y axis.

TorsionalStiffness: number (Nm/rad), optional

The torsional stiffness (or 'torsion constant') for the section, measured around the section's shear centre.

AxialStiffness: number (N/m), optional

The axial stiffness at the section, measured along the neutral axis' z direction. If omitted, it will be assumed that the axial stiffness is infinite.

ShearStiffnesses: object(ShearStiffnesses), optional

The shear moduli or shear stiffnesses of the blade section. If omitted, it will be assumed that the shear stiffness is infinite.

CouplingTerms: object(CouplingTerms), optional

Any coupling terms between bending and torsion.
